Ministry of the Interior announced investigations started against 420 people due to their social media posts in the past week (May 21-28). According to the Ministry announcement, the investigations were opened after examinations on 754 social media accounts. Social media users are charged with ‘making illegal organization propaganda,’ ‘insulting government authorities,’ ‘incitement towards resentment, hatred and hostility’ and ‘intending against the indivisible integrity of state.’
