Journalists Dicle Baştürk, Eylem Emel Yılmaz, Yavuz Akengin and Sendika.org employee Ozan Cırık, who were detained on June 13 as part of an Artvin-based operation and arrested on June 15, were released following an appeal. The Media and Law Studies Association (MLSA) announced that the journalists were released after one month in detention. While royalty payments and news reports are the subject of the investigation, the file is subject to confidentiality and restriction orders. The releases were welcomed by press organizations.
