The final hearing was held in the lawsuit filed against 15 women, including former People’s Democratic Party (HDP) Parliament member Asiye Kolçak and Peace Mothers, who were detained in Istanbul on May 5, 2018, on allegations of “terrorist organization membership” and “managing a terrorist organization”. Istanbul 35th Assize Court issued the acquittal of 14 women in the case where party activities, protests and events they participated in were the subject of the accusations against them. One of the defendants, Memduhe Biçerman, was sentenced to 1 year and 8 months in prison for “making terrorist organization propaganda”.
