Women gathered at Tunnel Square on November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
After the march, the crowd began walking back towards Tunnel Square to disperse following the reading of a statement. At this point, the police warned the crowd to disperse. Immediately after the announcement, the crowd was surrounded at Tunnel Square and prevented from dispersing. After the press was removed from the area by the police, 14 activists were detained.
