Turkish citizen Burhan Borak was sentenced to 12 years and three months of imprisonment due to “insulting Erdoğan” through his social media posts. Van 2nd Criminal Court of First Instance sentenced Borak to 1 year and nine months of imprisonment for each post, and Borak was charged due to seven different posts. The announcement of the verdict was not deferred.
