The Doğankent Municipality imposed a fine of 115,000 TL on Mesut Yılmaz for hanging posters for an anti-mining rally in the Görele district of Giresun. In a statement on June 9, Yılmaz argued that the fine was imposed because of their campaign against mining activities and announced that he would take legal action against the decision.
