The lawsuit against 11 people, including Labour Party (EMEP) Balıkesir Provincial Chairman Cemil Tosunoğlu, on the protest organized in Balıkesir to support hunger-striker educators Nuriye Gülmen and Semih Özakça, was concluded. Ayvalık Criminal Court of First Instance issued the acquittal of the defendants, who were charged with ‘violating the Law on Meetings and Demonstrations No. 2911’. The lawsuit against Tosunoğlu at Balıkesir 2nd Assize Court due to his social media posts was also concluded with acquittal.
