Journalist Yelda Çiçek, who was detained while following the demonstration on the trustee operation against Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality, was sentenced to 1 year and 8 months of imprisonment on the charge of “violating the Law on Meetings and Demonstrations No. 2911”. The court adjourned the sentence by deferring the announcement of the verdict.
