Gendarmerie detained 59 people in operations conducted in 22 provinces as part of an investigation into ISIS. The Interior Ministry said the operations were carried out in coordination with the Gendarmerie General Command Counterterrorism Department and chief public prosecutors’ offices. The ministry alleged that the suspects were ISIS members, financed the organization through people and so-called aid organizations linked to it, and disseminated organization propaganda through social media accounts.
