During Yeditepe University Faculty of Medicine’s graduation ceremony, Dean Prof. Dr. Sina Özcan omitted the phrase “the patient’s sexual orientation” from the Hippocratic Oath. The students completed the oath by reading the omitted section together. A similar incident occurred a year earlier at the graduation ceremony of Istanbul University’s Çapa Faculty of Medicine.
