The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office detained 13 people on May 23 as part of an investigation into the CHP’s 38th Ordinary Congress. Police carried out operations in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Sanliurfa, Kahramanmaras, Kilis, and Malatya. The prosecutor’s office charged the suspects with violating the Political Parties Law, bribery, and laundering assets derived from criminal activities.
