Orhan Yıldırım, the owner of Han İnşaat, was taken into custody as part of an investigation into Ağaç ve Peyzaj A.Ş., a subsidiary of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB). The prosecutor’s office alleges that the company was involved in bid-rigging. Twenty-nine people had previously been taken into custody as part of the investigation, and some suspects were released on judicial supervision.
