It has been alleged that inmates at Marmara No. 6 L-Type Prison were placed in solitary confinement without a disciplinary investigation after they turned off the cameras in their cells. Cem Dursun and Tacettin Erol Şahin, members of the group Yorum, have begun an indefinite hunger strike in protest of these practices. The inmates’ lawyer, Naim Eminoğlu, stated that the Ministry of Justice is turning a blind eye to the isolation and human rights violations at the prison.
