At least five people were detained during home raids conducted in Istanbul and Dersim on the morning of April 17. The Gendarmerie took members and supporters of the Federation of Socialist Assemblies to a police station in Maslak on charges of “financing terrorism.” Authorities imposed a 24-hour restriction on legal counsel and a confidentiality order on the case file for those in custody.
