The Istanbul 41st High Criminal Court rejected the defense attorneys’ objection to the motion to recuse the judge in the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) case, ruling that the interim decision dated March 9, 2026, was in accordance with procedural rules. The higher court decided that the panel hearing the case should continue its duties. The defense argued that there were procedural irregularities and issues of impartiality in the trial.
