On the 10th day of the resistance at Polyak Mining in Kınık, İzmir, workers breached the gendarmerie barricades and entered the mine on March 2, 2026, joining the workers inside. While Independent Mining-Work officials and two miners were detained, the workers declared that they would operate the mine themselves, saying, “We will manage it.” The workers are demanding payment of their wages and compensation.
