The Küçükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office prepared an indictment against journalist Enver Aysever on charges of “inciting the public to hatred and hostility or insulting them,” seeking a prison sentence of between one and three years. Aysever was detained on December 10, 2025, for statements he made on YouTube and was arrested and sent to Marmara Prison in Silivri. Aysever denied the charges; his lawyer Mikayil Dilbaz argued that the statements had been taken out of context.
