The prosecutor presented his opinion on the merits of the case against manager Ayşe Barım, who is on trial for allegedly directing artists during the Gezi Park protests. The prosecutor amended the charge of “aiding an attempt to overthrow the Government of the Republic of Turkey or prevent it from performing its duties” in the indictment and requested that Barım be sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment for “attempting to overthrow the Government of the Republic of Turkey.” The prosecution alleged that Barım was involved in planning and directing activities through artists during the Gezi protests. The decision hearing in the case, which is being heard at the Istanbul 26th Heavy Penal Court, is scheduled for February 11.
