Migros warehouse workers staged a protest in front of the home of Anadolu Group Chairman Tuncay Özilhan in Beykoz against a 28 percent wage increase offer. DGD-SEN President Neslihan Acar also participated in the protest, where workers voiced their demands for permanent employment and a decent standard of living. When workers seeking to meet with Özilhan were unable to find anyone to speak to, they began a sit-in. Police blocked the protest, citing a ban issued by the Beykoz District Governor’s Office, surrounded the group, and removed journalists from the area. During the intervention, dozens of workers, including Neslihan Acar, were handcuffed and detained.
