Citizens protesting attacks on Rojava in the Güroymak district of Bitlis were intervened against. During the intervention, 8 people, including DEM Party executives, were beaten and detained. Two of those detained were released, while six were referred to the prosecutor’s office. The Criminal Court of Peace ruled to detain three individuals and release three others under judicial supervision. DEM Party MP Hüseyin Olan stated that the intervention was directed by the district governor and that torture was applied during detention.
