MEBYA-DER Co-Chair Yusuf Dündar, who was detained in Van, was arrested on charges of “resisting the police.” It was learned that Dündar stated he was beaten during his detention, but despite the presence of bruises at the hospital, the doctor did not issue a report. Dündar was sent to court without a prosecutor’s statement, and a detention order was issued against him. His lawyer filed a complaint against the police officers who allegedly tortured him and the doctor who failed to issue a report.
