People’s Democratic Party (HDP) Diyarbakır MP Idris Baluken was acquitted in the lawsuit filed against him due to the speech he gave during the 2nd Ordinary Congress of Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) Elazığ Provincial Organization, organized in 2012.
Elazığ 2nd Assize Court evaluated the statements of Baluken, who was charged with ‘making illegal organization propaganda,’ ‘praising the crime and the criminal’ as well as ‘inciting people towards resentment and hostility’, within freedom of expression.
