Disciplinary proceedings were initiated against Anadolu University students who chanted “We are the soldiers of Mustafa Kemal”, “Right, law, justice” and “Shoulder to shoulder against fascism” during the protests that started after the operation against Ekrem İmamoğlu. CHP MP Utku Çakırözer supported the students and described the investigations as “unlawful”. The students, on the other hand, stated that they were only defending their rights. The investigations included accusations such as “participating in the meeting”, “resisting the police” and “insulting the President”. Some students dropped out of school due to family pressure, others were subjected to pressure in KYK dormitories.
