70 of the citizens protesting the economic crisis were detained in Istanbul. Evrensel Daily’s Kocaeli Representative Gözde Meydan, who was detained while trying to follow the protests in Derince district of Kocaeli, was released. Governorates in Istanbul and Tunceli banned all demonstrations in both provinces for 15 days, citing the epidemic.
