Dutch journalist Ralph Dekkers acquitted

Dutch journalist Ralph Dekkers came to Turkey in 2015 to follow the arrival of people fleeing the intensifying conflict in Syria and was detained in the Yayladağı district of Hatay on the grounds of “taking pictures in military areas”. The lawsuit filed against Dekkers has been concluded. The journalist was acquitted of the charge of “violating the Law on Military Forbidden Zones and Security Zones No. 2565” at Hatay Yayladağı Criminal Court of First Instance.
