The first hearing of the lawsuit filed against conscientious objector Kemal Katırcı due to ‘draft evasion’ was held at Çankırı Şabanözü Criminal Court of First Instance. Katırcı emphasized that he will not perform his military service, under any condition; indicating that he doesn’t think he is committing a crime with this attitude. The next hearing was scheduled to December 13, 2018.
