The prosecution of the Confederation of Revolutionist Workers’ Unions (DISK) members, including Chair Arzu Çerkezoğlu, started at Istanbul 20th Criminal Court of First Instance after they were detained in the police intervention against the march at Taksim Square for May 1st, 2020. 15 union members, charged with “violating the Law on Meetings and Demonstrations No. 2911”, will stand trial in the second hearing of the case on October 15.
