Izmir Çeşme 1st Criminal Court of First Instance sentenced True Party Chairman Rıfat Serdaroğlu to 23 months and 10 days of imprisonment due to “insulting President Erdoğan and Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Devlet Bahçeli.” Serdaroğlu was on trial due to an article he wrote, which was published online on October 8, 2018 with the title, “Father, son and the sacred son-in-law.”
