Losing his seat at the Parliament after the finalised imprisonment sentence against him, People’s Democratic Party (HDP) Kocaeli Parliament Member Ömer Faruk Gergerlioğlu was beaten by the police and was detained, being dragged on the floor at his home in Ankara in order to be taken to prison. Gergerlioğlu was hospitalised soon after having been detained due to pain in his chest and an angiography was performed on him, as he was taken to Sincan Prison. Gergerlioğlu was imprisoned at Sincan Type-F High Security Prison. From his Twitter account, a video that he recorded before he was taken to prison was published.
