Istanbul 2nd Criminal Court of First Instance banned the book, “Dr Said – We Lost the Lock of Mountains” written by Selim Çürükkaya and published by Doz Publishing. The book was about the life of peshmerga commander Said Çürükkaya.
109 books published by Kurdish publishing houses, including Aras, Avesta and J&J, were either banned or withdrawn from shelves in the last four years. The banned books include Ph.D theses that were translated from English and French.
