The Constitutional Court decided that the right to freedom of expression and thought of Kemer Gözcü Daily columnist Osman Palçık was violated after he was convicted by the local court due to his social media posts, which referred to the cases against former Kemer Mayor Mustafa Gül on “bribery and corruption.” The court stated, in the decree: “As the post is against a politician well known by the public, the limits of tolerable criticism are larger when compared to an ordinary person.”
