Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Fine Arts student Ata Egemen Çakıl was detained over criticising the donation campaign started by President Erdoğan for the Coronavirus outbreak. After the campaign was announced with the name, “National Solidarity,” Çakıl wrote on Twitter, “Don’t be fooled by the individuals who introduce themselves as President and ask for money on live TV.” Çakıl was released after testifying.
