People’s Democratic Party (HDP) Ankara MP Filiz Kerestecioğlu announced that the article she wrote for Turkish Parliamentarians Union magazine “Parlamento” on its December 2019 issue was censored. Kerestecioğlu wrote the article for the anniversary of women obtaining their right to election on December 5, 1934. The MP stated that the sections she wrote on the imprisonment and dismissals of HDP MPs were entirely removed from her initial writing.
