The Court of Cassation reversed the decree against former People’s Democratic Party (HDP) Muş MP Burcu Çelik Özkan, who was sentenced to six years of imprisonment by Muş 1st Assize Court due to “committing a crime on behalf of an illegal organisation without being a member” and is kept in prison since April 2017. The verdict issued the immediate release of Özkan.
