Owner of YeniGün Daily, a local newspaper in Balıkesir that was recently shut down, Levent Uysal was attacked with guns. Uysal was taken to the hospital after being wounded with the attack of two people, wearing helmets and riding motorcycles, in front of his house. “I believe I was attacked due to the things we’ve written,” Uysal stated.
