The 11th Gathering in Istanbul for Freedom of Expression organized by Initiative for Freedom of Expression will be held on 26 – 27 May 2018 in collaboration with Bianet, Truth Justice and Memory Center and Siyah Bant. The meetings that have been held in Istanbul since 1997 will be held entirely online for the first time this year.
Sessions will be streamed between 14:00 and 18:00 for two days and will be accessible via DusunThink YouTube channel.
On the first day of the Gathering representatives from international organizations, on the second day members of right-based organizations and witnesses will share what is happening in Turkey and in the world in the field of freedom of expression.
There will also be a special session in which the progress of pressure on freedom of expression will be discussed by historical examples from all around the world.
