Politicians and TCDD executive immunised from investigation of train accident in Çorlu
by Dusun-ThinkÇorlu Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office issued a verdict of non-prosecution for train chief Hüseyin Kahraman, operators Halil Altınkaya and Suat Şahin as well as politicians, bureaucrats and the high executive council of Turkish State Railways (TCDD) on the train accident in Çorlu district of Tekirdağ, which led to the deaths of 25 people.

by Dusun-ThinkThe fifth hearing of the lawsuit on the death of university student Kemal Kurkut due to the fire opened by police officer Yakup Ş. during the Newroz celebrations in Diyarbakır in 2017 was held at Diyarbakır 7th Assize Court.
The Constitutional Court (AYM) decided that the mistreatment and torture ban was violated and the investigation was not effectively conducted in the incident on children exposed to the torture of guardians at Sincan Prison in 2014.
The lawsuit filed against Cinema Workers Union (Sine-Sen) Chairman Zafer Ayden and Beyoğlu City Defense member Deniz Özgür due to the protest against October 10 Ankara Train Station Massacre organized at Istanbul Galatasaray Square on October 12, 2015, was concluded with acquittal.
Two more scientists, who were on trial due to signing the “We Will Not Partake In This Crime” petition by the Academics for Peace, were convicted due to “making illegal organization propaganda.”
Diyarbakır 11th Assize Court sentenced Aziz Turay, who was on trial due to two photographs he liked on Facebook four and five years ago respectively, to 1 year and seven months of imprisonment due to “making terrorist organization propaganda.”
