A lawsuit has been filed against three disobedient civilians who partake in the crime of journalist Erol Önderoğlu following the call of Thought Network of Turkey. Önderoğlu has been arrested due to being the “Editor-In-Chief on Duty” of previously shut-down Özgür Gündem Newspaper.
In the indictment, accepted by Istanbul 13th High Criminal Court, the Prosecutor’s Office indicated that Önderoğlu is on trial due to three news published on the 18 May 2016 issue of the newspaper and that the disobedient civilians have made illegal organization propaganda by partaking in the crime. The first hearing of the case will be held on 18 April 2017 at 09:40.
