Teacher Ayşe Çelik was first investigated and then put on trial for phoning in Beyaz Show on January 8 and for saying "children shall not die, see us, hear us, give a hand" on the charges of "terrorist organization propaganda". The 38 civil disobedients who partook in her crime(!?) stood trial too. The second hearing was on November 30.
At the hearing, Orhan Alkaya, Temel Demirer, Neşe Yaşın and Ayşegül Alkış gave their depositions. The defendants' lawyers demanded that the show host/ witness Beyazıt Öztürk should be brought to court, as his testimony was taken in the absence of the defendants and their lawyers, not giving them an opportunity to ask him questions. This demand was rejected by the court. The hearing was postponed to March 1, 2017.
