Ministry of the Interior announced investigations started against 251 people within the last week (June 11-18) due to their social media posts. The investigations were opened after the examination of 1422 social media accounts; social media users are charged with ‘making illegal organization propaganda,’ ‘insulting government authorities,’ ‘inciting people to resentment, hatred and hostility’ and ‘intending against the indivisible integrity of state.’
