14 health workers, who were on trial due to “illegal organization membership” and “making illegal organization propaganda” due to their attempt to carry health services to those injured in Cizre district of Şırnak during the declared curfew in the region, were acquitted. Mardin 3rd Assize Court issued the acquittal of the physicians due to “lack of criminal intention.” Evaluating the decree, Human Rights Association (IHD) Co-Chair Öztürk Türkdoğan stated, “Such a lawsuit should not have been filed in the first place. It is not a crime to be ready to provide medical service. The court has accepted that today.”
