People’s Democratic Party (HDP) Party Assembly member Eşref Mamedoğlu was sentenced to 10 years, 7 months and 15 days of imprisonment in the lawsuit filed against him due to “illegal organisation membership” and “making illegal organisation propaganda.” Mamedoğlu was on trial at Diyarbakır 4th Assize Court due to the activities conducted by his party as he was the Çınar Municipality Assembly member between the years 2012 and 2014 as well as his phone calls and social media posts.
