Republican People’s Party (CHP) former MP Eren Erdem started a hunger strike in Silivri Prison, where he remains arrested. Erdem was not released and was arrested once again despite the verdict of release issued for him. Starting the hunger strike as a reaction against the ongoing prosecution, Erdem now faces an investigation by the prison administration on his hunger strike. The notice given to Erdem indicated that he may be penalized with not being able to participate in events for one to three months as a result of the investigation.
